Richard E. Bonati, DDS
Dr. Bonati graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. He received High Honors and the President's Award for his combined artistic and academic successes; an award honored to only one student from each graduating class. Dr. Bonati continued his dental education at SUNY Stony Brook and graduated from the School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he practiced dentistry in New York City, then later opened his first dental practice in Smithtown on Long Island. Dr. Bonati now practices in his state-of-the-art dental facility in Nesconset on Long Island.
Dr. Bonati is a member of the ADA (American Dental Association), and has completed an Associate Fellowship in Laser Dentistry. He has had extensive training in Cerec Cadcam and Lumineers.
Dr. Bonati's philosophy is to maintain the latest technology that dentistry has to offer to give his patients a healthy and beautiful smile. It has been Dr. Bonati's personal feeling that dentistry is a blend of arts and sciences; used to achieve maximum aesthetics and health. His passion for dentistry, health, art and sciences allows him to excel in his profession.
Dr. Bonati enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys art and painting, antique and vintage cars, and music.
Todd M. Mayer, DDS
Dr. Mayer graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Buffalo in 1997. He continued with his education and completed the accredited Advanced Specialty Education Program in Periodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School.
Published in the Journal of Periodontology for his dental implant research, Dr. Mayer has also been involved in other research regarding the microbiological basis for oral diseases. He keeps abreast of the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease including the link between periodontitis and systematic diseases.
Dr. Mayer practices the full scope of periodontics and implant dentistry. He is an expert in periodontal plastic surgery such as grafts for gum recession and root exposure. Dr. Mayer has a gentle touch and a very calming manner. Patient comfort is his top priority.
Miranda Krivca, DDS
Dr. Miranda Krivca is a dedicated and skilled General Dentist at Bonati Dental. With eight years of private practice experience, Dr. Krivca brings a comprehensive approach to family, cosmetic, and implant dentistry.
Dr. Krivca earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, where she was honored by faculty with the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Dental Award, recognizing her as an outstanding future general dentist, as well as an award for international volunteer services. Dr. Krivca has participated in numerous outreach missions, notably a month -long volunteer effort in Madagascar, providing vital dental care and education to hundreds of children and adults. Dr. Krivca further honed her skills through a General Practice Residency at Northshore University Hospital.
